37 Angels is a New York-based angel investor group committed to increasing diversity in angel investing by activating new investors, particularly women, through education and by investing in promising early-stage startups. They evaluate over 2,500 startups annually and invest in about 10–12, focusing on sectors including technology and consumer goods, and investing in pre-seed, seed, and Series A stages. Their portfolio has an internal rate of return (IRR) above 20%, placing them in the top decile of performance for early-stage investors. They offer a comprehensive angel investing bootcamp and aim to diversify the startup funding landscape by backing a wide array of entrepreneurs. The organization emphasizes making angel investing accessible, understandable, and community-driven. Their mission is to reduce the gender gap in angel investing through education and active participation in the startup ecosystem. They believe that their angels should invest in companies that align with their interests and that can benefit from their advice and guidance, without restricting themselves to only investing in women-led businesses. They accept members on a rolling basis, with the next online bootcamp running from January 20 to March 15, 2026, and the next NYC bootcamp on April 17–18, 2026. Membership requires completing an online application and interview, being an accredited investor, and paying annual membership dues. Members are expected to participate in at least one diligence team per year, meet the annual investment requirement, and be active members of the 37 Angels community by supporting portfolio companies and the network.
