4i Capital Partners is a private equity investment firm managing investments in Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova. The company’s principals have been making buyouts, expansions, restructurings, and realizations in the region for nearly two decades. 4i Capital Partners was founded in March 2016 with the aim to capitalize on the opportunities resulting from the fundamental overhaul of Ukraine, one of the largest European countries. The investment team currently manages Europe Virgin Fund, with instrumental support from international finance institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, and the Swiss Investment Fund for Emerging Markets.

The firm's investment strategy focuses on acquiring majority stakes in innovative and highly competitive local companies, building top-notch management teams, and driving growth through operational improvements and strategic initiatives. 4i Capital Partners has a track record of successful investments in various sectors, including technology, healthcare, consumer goods, and financial services.

In 2013, 4i Capital Partners invested in Portmone.com, a leading online payments platform in Ukraine. Over the next seven years, the business increased manifold, covering a wide range of regular payments such as mobile top-ups, utilities, internet, insurance, tax payments, and providing acquiring services for e-commerce. In 2020, the firm sold its stake in Portmone to Kaspi.kz, a leading fintech company in Kazakhstan, marking a successful exit and demonstrating the firm's ability to identify and realize value in its portfolio companies.
