AFF is a cross-border startup capital initiative that offers seed funding to post-revenue, early-stage startups in sectors such as fintech, deeptech, consumer electronics, insurance, healthcare, and agritech. The organization is committed to supporting founders who are building the future in Africa, India, and the UAE. In a recent announcement, AFF pledged $20 million to support 20 early-stage startups, reflecting its dedication to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in these regions.

The investment process involves a rigorous evaluation, with a focus on startups that have a team of two or more founders, possess the right skill set and expertise, and present novel ideas and business models with the potential to scale. Accepted teams receive equity in exchange for the support and services offered throughout the startup program, along with a $200,000 USD investment. The program includes training, pitch practice, specialized services, mentorship from industry leaders, and access to a startup and investor community.

AFF operates with a global presence and experience necessary to help capitalize on opportunities in developed and emerging markets. The organization maintains offices in Dubai, UAE, and Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and is actively involved in supporting startups addressing challenges in these regions.
