AfricInvest Europe is a French private equity firm, regulated by the French Market Authority (AMF), dedicated to supporting French small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with high development potential in Africa. As a subsidiary of AfricInvest Group, the firm manages the Franco-African Funds (FFA), which are the first cross-border funds focused on French SMEs aiming to invest and grow in Africa. The FFA funds have attracted a diverse group of investors, including Bpifrance, French private-sector groups such as Société Générale, Orange, and BNP Paribas, as well as African investors like the Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance Sociale de Côte d'Ivoire (CNPS), Saham, Financecom, the Central Bank of Kenya Pension Fund, and private investors from Kenya and Nigeria. To date, the FFA funds have made 17 investments in innovative and fast-growing French SMEs across various sectors, including health, industry, education, and the environment. The firm invests between €2 million and €6 million per transaction, either directly in a minority stake or alongside renowned co-investors. AfricInvest Europe aims to support its portfolio companies through its experience, financing capabilities, extensive network, and the expertise of its teams in France and Africa, helping them accelerate their growth and access new markets. The firm also focuses on facilitating partnerships with relevant commercial, financial, industrial, and technological partners in each market. In addition to financial returns, AfricInvest Europe emphasizes the impact of its investments on companies' governance, transparency, employment creation, and adherence to social and environmental values. AfricInvest Europe benefits from the unique positioning of AfricInvest Group, a pan-African leader in private equity founded in 1994 in Tunisia. AfricInvest has raised over $2 billion across 21 funds and has invested in more than 200 companies across 35 African countries, employing a team of over 100 professionals operating from 10 offices.
