AFRIGREEN Debt Impact Fund is a €100 million infrastructure senior debt fund dedicated to financing renewable energy projects in Africa, with a particular focus on solar photovoltaic energy infrastructure in Central and West Africa. The fund aims to provide long-term debt solutions to commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers and public utilities, enabling the installation of on- and off-grid solar power plants to reduce energy costs and dependence on fossil fuels.

Managed by RGREEN INVEST, a French investment company specializing in financing renewable energy infrastructure projects, and advised by ECHOSYS INVEST, a joint venture with ECHOSYS ADVISORY, AFRIGREEN targets projects ranging from 100 kW to 15 MW. The fund's impact objectives include installing 100 MW of renewable energy capacity, avoiding 70,000 tons of CO2 emissions, supporting 60 C&I companies, and offering financial products to 18 small and medium enterprises.

AFRIGREEN is backed by institutional investors such as the European Investment Bank (EIB), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries (BIO Invest), PROPARCO (Groupe Agence Française de Développement), Société Générale, BNP Paribas, and the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO). The fund applies IFC Performance Standards and EIB Environmental & Social Standards, following an environmental and social management system under which all projects are audited to assess positive and negative impacts in terms of environmental and social aspects.
