Founded in 2020, they employ a pioneering hybrid strategy: supporting specialized emerging fund managers in early-stage investments while co-investing in growth-stage companies. Their diverse portfolio includes over 50 fund managers and companies like Automata, Kenbi, Podimo, Sorare, as well as funds such as Moonfire and Cocoa. In April 2025, Aldea Ventures closed €50 million for its Fund II, which aims to reach €125 million. The capital from Fund II will be allocated to early-stage managers working in deep technology sectors, including AI, next-generation computing, and robotics. Aldea Ventures sees these technologies as a major source of future value and plans to back managers targeting companies that address challenges such as climate change, health, and cybersecurity. While Europe remains Aldea’s main focus, it targets selective exposure in the US, seeing it as a natural growth market for EU pre-seed investments. Fund II will focus on early-stage EU-based funds with international networks and experience helping EU founders expand into the US.

Since their inception, Aldea-backed funds have made 891 startup investments, with 71% based in Europe and 25% in the US. This track record demonstrates Aldea Ventures' commitment to fostering innovation and supporting the growth of technology companies across Europe and beyond.
