Bpifrance Large Venture

Bpifrance Large Venture is a €1 billion venture capital fund established by Bpifrance, the French public investment bank, to support high-growth, innovative companies. The fund focuses on technology, life sciences, and green technology sectors, aiming to foster the emergence of French champions and potential global leaders in their markets. It invests minority stakes of a minimum of €10 million, co-investing alongside current or new investors in rounds of at least €20 million.

Since its inception in 2013, Large Venture has invested in over 60 companies, including notable names such as Doctolib, Devialet, Swile, Owkin, Contentsquare, Younited Credit, Vestiaire Collective, ManoMano, Pasqal, Payfit, Shift, Treefrog, and Exotec. The fund has a long-term investment horizon and is actively involved in governance and support, leveraging Bpifrance's network and resources to assist portfolio companies in their growth and internationalization efforts.

In December 2025, Large Venture participated in a €200 million funding round for ICEYE, a global leader in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite systems, highlighting its commitment to advancing innovative technologies and supporting companies with significant growth potential. This investment aligns with Bpifrance's objective to double the number of French unicorns within five years, emphasizing its role in strengthening the economic fabric of high-growth companies and facilitating their development into solid mid-sized enterprises.
