In 2024, Cheyne Capital secured investment from a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi's largest sovereign wealth fund, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), for its ninth round of the European real estate debt fund, Cheyne Real Estate Credit Holdings (CRECH) programme. This investment brought ADIA's total commitment to £650 million ($831.3 million). The Capital Solutions strategy focuses on senior lending against European real estate and includes subordinated debt, hybrid credit, and commercial mortgage-backed securities services. Cheyne has been an active lender in the residential real estate market, investing in student accommodation, affordable housing, and senior housing projects.
