China-ASEAN Investment Cooperation Fund

The China-ASEAN Investment Cooperation Fund (CAF) is a USD-denominated offshore multilateral cooperation fund majority owned by financial institutions of the Government of the People's Republic of China. Established in 2010, CAF focuses on private equity investments in infrastructure, energy, and natural resources sectors across Southeast Asia, including China. The fund aims to deepen economic cooperation between China and ASEAN countries by providing financial support for major projects in these regions.

CAF's investment strategy targets growth, late-stage, and pre-IPO opportunities, with investments ranging from $100 million to $1 billion. The fund has a significant presence in ASEAN countries, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and China. By investing in these sectors, CAF seeks to enhance regional connectivity and promote sustainable development.
