Chinaccelerator

Chinaccelerator is a Shanghai-based startup accelerator that offers seed funding, mentorship, and legal assistance to software companies. Twice a year, Chinaccelerator selects a small number of promising startups to join its accelerator program in exchange for approximately 6% equity. The program includes a $150,000 USD investment via convertible equity or directly into rounds actively being raised. Participating startups relocate to Shanghai, where Chinaccelerator assists in optimizing product-market fit, developing local growth strategies, and culminates the program with a Demo Day, presenting companies to a curated audience. Post-program, startups are encouraged to continue utilizing Chinaccelerator's resources and office space until the next program cycle begins. The in-house team actively works to secure additional funding by connecting startups with investors and facilitating the closing of deals. Chinaccelerator boasts an active alumni and investor network that contributes to and shares in the program's resources, exemplified by the annual SOSV Skydive event that brings together over 300 portfolio companies, 500 mentors, and co-investors.

As an SOSV program, Chinaccelerator is part of a global venture capital firm that operates startup accelerator investment programs. SOSV manages over $970 million in assets under management and focuses on cross-border internet startups. The firm offers a six-month program that helps startups find product-market fit, acquire users, and monetize within the context of China and Asia. The program includes setting objectives and key results (OKRs) with startups, weekly check-ins to discuss company strategy, experiments, and growth tactics, and daily interactions with mentors, experts-in-residence, and the Chinaccelerator team. Each cycle culminates in a Demo Day with over 150 investors, followed by a fundraising phase where Chinaccelerator actively works with startups on investments from outside investors.

Chinaccelerator's mentorship-driven program is designed to help enterprise software startups from around the world enter Asia, selling to a network of over 200 multinational corporate partners, and global startups enter China and local Chinese startups expand to global markets. The program offers three months of rigorous guidance, training, and resources from mentors, partners, and investors. The robust and supportive alumni network continues beyond the Chinaccelerator program, providing ongoing support and resources to startups as they grow and scale their businesses.
