Corvinus International Investment Ltd.

Corvinus International Investment Ltd. is a Hungarian state-owned asset management company established in 1997. It is responsible for executing transactions related to company holdings in line with the strategic objectives of economic development and for the preservation and growth of the assets owned by the company. The ownership of the company is exercised by the Ministry for National Economy.

The company has been involved in several significant transactions, including the acquisition of a 100% stake in Budapest Bank in 2015, which later became part of the Hungarian Bankholding Ltd. in 2020. In December 2024, Corvinus Ltd. reduced its stake in MBH Bank to 20.01% by selling 7% of its shares. In June 2016, it acquired a 15% stake in Erste Bank Hungary Zrt., which was sold back to the Austrian parent company in November 2023. In March 2022, Corvinus Ltd. acquired a 45% stake in two Hungarian insurance companies from the Vienna Insurance Group, later reducing its stake to 10% in November 2023. In April 2023, it acquired a 66.9% stake in Hungarian Post Life Insurance Plc. and Hungarian Post Insurance Plc. from Talanx AG. In January 2023, Corvinus Ltd. and Antenna Hungária Ltd. acquired Vodafone Hungary from Vodafone Europe BV, with Corvinus Ltd. holding a 51% stake. In March 2023, it entered into a share swap transaction with Antenna Hungária, acquiring an indirect minority stake in Yettel Hungary. In June 2024, Corvinus Ltd. and Vinci Airports purchased Budapest Airport, with Corvinus Ltd. holding an 80% stake.
