Definvest is a specialized equity fund managed by Bpifrance in consultation with the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, focusing on defense and dual-use technologies. The fund invests between €500,000 and €5 million alongside private investors in various equity operations, including seed, growth, development, and transfers, excluding turnaround situations. Its primary objective is to support critical SMEs within the military equipment supply chain and technology startups with disruptive innovations that aim to become strategic for future weapons programs.

The fund's investment strategy encompasses a wide range of stages, from seed to pre-IPO, and targets sectors such as defense, aerospace, technology, manufacturing, engineering, cybersecurity, telecommunications, electronics, robotics, artificial intelligence, space, automotive, energy, healthcare, and logistics. By collaborating with private investors, Definvest enables these companies to develop autonomously while contributing to the sovereignty and competitiveness of France's defense industry.
