In August 2024, Indra Sistemas announced the acquisition of Deimos, aiming to enhance its capabilities in the European technology and space sectors. The acquisition was completed on November 1, 2024, leading to the integration of Deimos into Indra's Space NewCo division. This strategic move is expected to strengthen Indra's position in the space industry by expanding its upstream target range and improving its positioning with the European Space Agency (ESA) and other space institutions.

Prior to the acquisition, Deimos had established a strong presence in Spain and internationally, with offices in Portugal, the United Kingdom, Romania, and Italy. The company had been involved in numerous space missions and projects, contributing to the development of satellite systems, space surveillance, and digital intelligence solutions.
