Dreyers Fond

Dreyers Fond is a Copenhagen-based Danish foundation established in 1976 by Thorvald and Margot Dreyer, who were respectively an architect and a lawyer. The foundation's mission is to promote the development of the professions of architecture and law and their interaction with society. It supports projects and activities that advance these fields and annually awards the Dreyer Honorary Award to recognize excellence in architecture and law. Additionally, Dreyers Fond is active in the real estate market, owning and renovating several significant properties in Copenhagen.

Among its notable real estate investments is the Løvenborg building on Vesterbrogade, acquired in 2000. This 1906 structure, designed by Anton Rosen, underwent a renovation that earned the Europa Nostra Award in 2004. In 2012, the foundation acquired the Valencia building at Vesterbrogade 32, a former entertainment venue transformed into office space for the Association of Danish Law Firms. Another significant acquisition was the Warburg House at Højbro Plads 3, a neoclassical building from 1799, which houses various tenants, including the coffee chain Baresso's first coffee bar.

Dreyers Fond's commitment to architecture and law extends beyond real estate investments. It actively supports initiatives that foster the development of these professions and their societal impact. The foundation's involvement in projects like the Copenhagen Architecture Biennial 2025, where it provided funding for events, underscores its dedication to promoting architectural discourse and innovation.
