EDF Pulse Ventures

EDF Pulse Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of the EDF Group, dedicated to identifying and investing in innovative solutions developed by startups to support a carbon-neutral future. Through its venture capital and support structure, EDF Pulse Holding, the firm seeks to co-create a sustainable energy landscape by partnering with startups that align with EDF's mission.

The firm primarily invests in Series A funding rounds, taking minority stakes with an average investment size of €2 million. Its geographical focus spans Europe and North America, targeting sectors such as the development of electricity uses, performance of decarbonized production, health and safety, hydraulic renewal, widespread flexibility, robotization, IT infrastructure, decentralized energy, skills and attractiveness of energy transition professions, and adaptation to climate change.

Since its inception in 2017, EDF Pulse Ventures has generated approximately €220 million in value and invested around €540 million. The portfolio comprises 21 startups, including BeZero, Carbon8, Exaion, Hynamics, Monkey Factory, NEoT, Oklima, Perfesco, Persefoni, Urbanomy, Inicio, Metroscope, MX3D, Siteflow, Sweetch Energy, Spotr, Chemdoc Water Technologies, NatureMetrics, Securkeys, Teeptrak, and Yxir. These investments reflect EDF Pulse Ventures' commitment to fostering innovation in the energy sector and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.
