FII Institute

The FII Institute is a global non-profit foundation with an investment arm, focusing on creating a positive impact on humanity through strategic investments. Established in 2019 by royal decree, the Institute operates under the auspices of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which serves as its founding partner. Its mission is to foster innovation and sustainable development across critical sectors, including artificial intelligence, robotics, healthcare, education, and sustainability. The Institute aims to address pressing global challenges by investing in scalable solutions that promote inclusive prosperity and environmental stewardship.

The Institute's investment strategy is multifaceted, encompassing a wide range of asset classes such as private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real estate, commodities, fixed income, hedge funds, and emerging sectors like crypto and collectibles. It engages in investments across various stages, from early-stage ventures to large-scale buyouts and distressed assets. Geographically, the FII Institute has a broad focus, with investments spanning multiple countries and regions, reflecting its commitment to global impact. The sectors it targets are diverse, including technology, healthcare, education, sustainability, artificial intelligence, robotics, energy, financial services, consumer goods, telecommunications, media, transportation, real estate, agriculture, and manufacturing.

The FII Institute's approach is characterized by strategic partnerships and collaborations with leading global organizations. For instance, in October 2025, it announced a strategic partnership with Soudah Development, a Public Investment Fund company, to advance sustainable investment and tourism in Saudi Arabia. This partnership aims to develop Soudah and parts of Rijal Almaa into a world-class luxury mountain tourism destination, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030. Additionally, the Institute has engaged in partnerships with entities like Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Group and Guggenheim Investments, enhancing its capacity to address social challenges and promote sustainable finance. These collaborations underscore the Institute's dedication to leveraging global expertise and resources to achieve its mission of creating a positive impact on humanity.

The FII Institute's flagship event, the Future Investment Initiative (FII), serves as a platform for global leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators to convene and discuss solutions to the world's most pressing challenges. The ninth edition of FII, scheduled for October 27–30, 2025, in Riyadh, will bring together over 600 distinguished speakers and 20 Heads of State. This event exemplifies the Institute's role as a catalyst for dialogue and action at the intersection of investment, innovation, and global progress, reinforcing its commitment to fostering sustainable growth and human development worldwide.
