Florida Gulfshore Capital is a private investment firm focused on early-stage venture opportunities, primarily in Florida and the Southeastern United States. The firm concentrates on tech-enabled B2B products and services, investing in companies that are close to or in the early stages of revenue generation. Florida Gulfshore Capital seeks to back talented entrepreneurs with a history of successfully building and exiting high-growth companies. The firm takes an active role in each of its portfolio companies, typically through either a Board or a Board observer seat. They prefer to be the first institutional investor in a venture, either individually or as part of a syndicate. Sample investments include Admiral, AlumaBridge, and Bliley Technologies. Florida Gulfshore Capital is affiliated with Halstatt, a family-owned investment firm located in Naples, Florida. Halstatt has a long history of successful real estate development in Southwest Florida and has cultivated a valuable network of trusted operating partners and investment managers. Today, Halstatt and affiliated firms manage their own capital as well as that of a select number of family offices and institutional investors across a broad range of asset classes. Richard Molloy is the Founder and Managing Partner of Florida Gulfshore Capital. He serves on the Boards of many of the Gulfshore portfolio companies, either as a Director or Observer. Previously, Mr. Molloy was a principal in Booz Allen & Hamilton’s Consumer and Industrial Products and Healthcare practices. Prior to Booz Allen, Mr. Molloy served in the British Army, in a Commando Engineer Unit and then with the Defense Mapping Agency in Washington, D.C. He has a BSc in Civil Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University and an MPPM from Yale University School of Management.
