Foresight Williams Technology EIS Fund

The Foresight Williams Technology EIS Fund is a collaboration between Foresight Group and Williams Advanced Engineering, established to support early-stage UK companies developing innovative technologies. The fund focuses on unquoted, often early-stage companies commercialising potentially disruptive hardware technology or industrial software. It offers investors the opportunity to invest in a portfolio of companies addressing global challenges through radical technical innovation.

Investments are structured to qualify for tax reliefs under the UK Government’s Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), providing investors with potential income tax offsets, capital gains tax deferral, and inheritance tax benefits. The fund has a minimum investment amount of £10,000 and targets an investment horizon of 18 months from each respective closing date.

Since its launch in 2016, the fund has invested in numerous UK-based SMEs and start-ups, reaching a milestone of £50 million invested in 20 companies by 2023. Notable portfolio companies include Refeyn Ltd, a developer of mass photometry instruments, and Audioscenic, a Southampton-based company creating 3D immersive sound systems. The fund leverages Williams Advanced Engineering's technical expertise and Foresight Group's investment track record to provide both financial and technical support to its portfolio companies, enhancing their growth and market reach.
