Galata Business Angels (GBA) is Turkey's premier angel investment network, connecting high-potential entrepreneurs with experienced investors to foster successful digital entrepreneurial ventures. Operating as a non-profit association, GBA invests in digital and innovative business ideas across various sectors, including software, hardware, and biotechnology. Since its establishment in 2011, GBA has invested in over 200 startups, providing a total of USD 171 million in funding. The network comprises 41 members from diverse fields such as finance, marketing, digital advertising, real estate, and technology, who actively mentor and support entrepreneurs.

GBA primarily targets early-stage technology companies with clear value propositions and a certain user base. The investment process involves application through the Gust platform, pre-screening, initial mentor meetings, and participation in the Venture Academy, where selected startups present to GBA investors. The average investment ticket size is USD 100,000, with initial round investments reaching up to USD 1 million. GBA focuses on startups with high international growth potential, offering both financial resources and strategic guidance to help them scale globally.

Notable portfolio companies include Insider, a platform delivering real-time predictive segmentation and personalization across various channels, and Uplifers, an internet and mobile services company.
