Gates Capital Partners is a family office managing private and public equity investments with a long-term horizon. The firm focuses on fund commitments and co-investments across buyout, growth equity, and secondary strategies. Drawing on the legacy of the Gates Corporation, the office maintains a long-term investment horizon—partners with top managers to steward and grow family capital across market cycles. The company strives to get to know managers over many years and fundraises but is able to make investment decisions quickly and opportunistically. GCP is accessible and responsive to opportunities, including co-investments. While the majority of GCP's private equity investments are with buyout and growth equity managers, GCP invests in other strategies, including secondaries and special situations. We seek exposure primarily in North American funds. GCP does not actively invest in early stage venture capital, real estate, mezzanine, or credit funds. We do not make direct investments unless alongside an experienced private equity manager. Governed by its own experienced board of managers, GCP serves only Gates' family trusts members and affiliates. GCP is led by Jina Kim, Managing Director of Gates Capital Partners. Our Approach to Responsible Investing Gates Capital Partners' environmental, social and governance (ESG) integration methodology incorporates ESG data, alongside traditional financial analysis, into the overall investment process.
