Gemba Capital is a Bengaluru-based micro venture capital firm specializing in seed and pre-seed investments in scalable tech startups across India. The firm focuses on sectors such as fintech, consumer tech, and B2B platforms, aiming to back ambitious founders building platform-first businesses that can create compounding moats through ecosystem creation and network effects.

Founded in 2018, Gemba Capital has developed a proprietary 'Founder Market Fit Framework' to identify and support high-potential teams. The firm typically invests between $200,000 and $250,000 per company, preferring straight equity investments over convertible structures. Since its inception, Gemba Capital has backed over 120 founders across more than 50 startups, including notable investments in Plum (Insurtech), Grip Invest, Wint Wealth, Strata, Navadhan, Zuper, Showroom, Smartstaff, ClickPost, and LightFury.

In July 2024, Gemba Capital launched its second fund with a corpus of INR 250 crore (approximately $30 million), including a green shoe option of INR 50 crore. This fund aims to invest in around 30 early-stage 'Platform-first' businesses over the next three years, with a first cheque of INR 5 crore per company and a 30% reserve ratio for follow-on investments. The firm remains committed to being a leading institutional micro-VC fund in India at the seed stage, focusing on value addition in its portfolio companies through customer introductions, fundraising, and strategic planning.
