Ghana Angel Investor Network

The Ghana Angel Investor Network (GAIN) is the apex body for angel networks in Ghana, established in 2011 by the Venture Capital Trust Fund. Its primary objective is to support the creation and growth of angel networks within the country, connecting high-net-worth individuals with promising early-stage businesses. GAIN serves as a resource for entrepreneurs seeking funding and guidance, facilitating connections between investors and startups.

GAIN organizes quarterly networking events known as Periodic Deal Meetups, where members discuss ongoing deals, introduce new investment opportunities, and invite selected entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas. This platform enables members to identify and invest in businesses that align with their interests and expertise. The network's secretariat, provided by Impact Investing Ghana, conducts due diligence on companies before sharing their information with members, ensuring a thorough evaluation process.

Membership in GAIN is by referral from existing members, with all referrals subject to review to ensure alignment with the network's objectives. Invitations are extended to individuals who are accepted as members, fostering a community of investors committed to supporting the growth and success of small and growing businesses in Ghana. Through its structured approach and collaborative efforts, GAIN plays a pivotal role in enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem and driving economic development in the region.
