Guadalajara Angel Investor Network (GAIN) is a venture capital fund based in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, dedicated to investing in early-stage startups across Latin America. The fund focuses on scalable projects with extraordinary full-time teams and a commercial validation, preferably with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). GAIN specializes in technology-driven ventures, aiming to bridge the technological gap in the region by supporting innovative and visionary entrepreneurs from their initial stages.

Since its inception in 2008, GAIN has been actively involved in the local startup ecosystem, analyzing over 900 projects and sharing more than 150 with the AV Network. The network has facilitated more than 10 startups in raising their first round of funding through its platform. GAIN has also supported 66 companies through its incubation and acceleration programs and has provided various workshops, training programs, consulting, and mentoring services to numerous companies and entrepreneurs. The network collaborates closely with other angel networks, funds, incubators, accelerators, and family offices across the region and is a founding member of Xcala, along with other angel networks across Latin America and the Caribbean.

In March 2020, GAIN announced Carabela, its Seed Fund, to continue investing in early-stage regional startups. The fund's investment range spans from $50,000 to $450,000, targeting projects that are scalable, commercially viable, and led by dedicated teams working full-time on their ventures. GAIN's investment focus includes sectors such as technology, software, e-commerce, fintech, healthtech, edtech, agtech, clean tech, media, entertainment, consumer goods, retail, logistics, transportation, and real estate. The network's mission is to foster the growth of innovative startups in Latin America by providing them with the necessary capital and support to succeed in the competitive global market.
