HearstLab is a corporate venture fund dedicated to closing the gender gap in venture capital by investing in early-stage, women-led technology startups. Backed by Hearst, a global information, services, and media company, HearstLab provides strategic capital and support to help founders build sustainable and scalable businesses. The fund primarily invests in Seed and Series A-stage companies across sectors such as Enterprise Technology, Data and Analytics, FinTech, Healthcare, Media, and Transportation. To qualify for investment, companies must be women-led, tech-enabled with a working product and market validation, and strategically connected to Hearst's core expertise. Beyond capital, HearstLab offers hands-on support from experts in legal, sales, marketing, finance, fundraising, and engineering, as well as access to a network of over 70 female founders globally. The fund also provides connections to innovators across the Hearst network through its HearstLab Scout network and offers in-person access to office space around the world, including the Hearst Tower in New York City. Since its inception, HearstLab has invested in over 80 women-led companies, with an aggregate portfolio valuation of $2.6 billion. The fund has a global presence, partnering with strategic Hearst partners in select international markets, including the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Japan, to extend its impact and support women executives on a global scale.
