Hotel Investment Partners (HIP) is a prominent investor specializing in leisure hotels throughout Southern Europe, with a portfolio of over 21,000 rooms located in prime tourist destinations across Spain, Italy, Greece, and Portugal. The company is dedicated to the acquisition, renovation, and active management of hotel assets, aiming to enhance their value and appeal. HIP's portfolio includes a diverse range of properties, primarily 4-star hotels emphasizing elegance and design, as well as select 5-star hotels that guarantee luxury experiences.

Founded in 2015 by Alejandro Hernández-Puértolas and Banco Sabadell, HIP was acquired by Blackstone in 2017. Since then, the company has pursued an acquisition and repositioning strategy for well-located but under-invested hotels, investing over EUR 700 million into the platform. HIP collaborates with major global hotel operators, including Ritz-Carlton, Barceló, Melia, Hyatt, Hilton, Ledra, and Marriott, to improve hotel management and enhance the guest experience. The company employs a dedicated team of around 100 professionals specializing in acquisitions, execution, renovation, and repositioning of well-located but undercapitalized hotels.

In October 2023, HIP welcomed GIC, a global institutional investor, as a new capital partner, with GIC becoming an approximately 35% shareholder and Blackstone maintaining a majority stake of approximately 65%. This partnership is expected to further strengthen HIP's position in the market and support its ongoing growth and development in the hospitality sector.
