IDB Infrastructure Fund II

IDB Infrastructure Fund II is a private equity fund managed by ASMA Capital Partners B.S.C.(c), a multi-fund asset management firm licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain. The fund focuses on infrastructure projects in emerging markets, particularly in the Middle East, Asia, CIS, and Africa. It seeks investments in sectors such as Power & Energy, Transportation & Logistics, Telecom Infrastructure, Water & Waste, and Social Infrastructure, including Education and Healthcare. The fund has committed capital of US$750 million from investors, including the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Public Investment Fund (PIF), Public Pension Agency (PPA), Ministry of Finance of Bahrain, and Ministry of Finance of Brunei Darussalam. Notable investments include a stake in Saudi Tabreed, a leading district cooling company in Saudi Arabia, and a joint venture with Daelim Energy to acquire, develop, and manage power assets across IDB member countries.
