The JGC Mirai Innovation Fund is a corporate venture capital (CVC) fund established in April 2021 by JGC Holdings Corporation and JGC Japan Corporation, in partnership with Global Brain Corporation. The fund focuses on investing in domestic and international startups that possess innovative technologies and business models contributing to the creation of safe, secure, and sustainable social systems. Its investment areas include achieving carbon neutrality, building sustainable and resilient infrastructure, enhancing quality of life in the context of a 100-year lifespan, and advancing industrial smartification. The fund's total assets under management amount to 5 billion yen, with a management term of 10 years.

The fund's investment strategy targets startups that align with JGC's vision and have the potential to collaborate with JGC Japan. Notable investments include IONATE Limited, a UK-based startup developing innovative transformers; tozero GmbH, a German company enabling efficient recycling of critical materials from lithium-ion batteries; and Kyoto Fusioneering Ltd., a Japanese firm specializing in fusion reactor equipment and plant engineering. These investments reflect the fund's commitment to supporting technologies that contribute to a sustainable and secure future.
