Kaixi Group

Kaixi Group is a Chinese private investment firm with a focus on the garment manufacturing industry in Bangladesh. The firm has made significant investments in the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Economic Zone, establishing facilities for producing intimate garments and accessories. In August 2025, Kaixi Group invested an additional $40.05 million to expand its operations, aiming to produce 18 million pairs of lingerie and undergarments, along with 20 million pairs of bra foam and cups annually, thereby creating employment for 3,003 Bangladeshi nationals. This expansion reflects the firm's commitment to the Bangladeshi market and its confidence in the country's economic growth.

The company's first project in the BEPZA Economic Zone was approved in November 2022, with an investment of $60.85 million. Commercial production began in June 2024, employing approximately 3,700 workers. Combined with its operations in the Dhaka Export Processing Zone, Kaixi Group has created around 6,000 jobs in Bangladesh. The firm's strategic investments aim to leverage Bangladesh's competitive advantages in the garment manufacturing sector, contributing to the country's industrial growth and export earnings.

Kaixi Group's approach emphasizes long-term commitment to its investments, as evidenced by its rapid expansion within a year of commencing operations. The firm acknowledges operational challenges, such as the lack of nearby worker housing, which necessitates transporting employees from distant areas, causing delays in morning attendance. Despite these challenges, Kaixi Group remains dedicated to its operations in Bangladesh, viewing them as integral to its broader investment strategy in the region.
