LaunchKC’s Social Venture Studio

LaunchKC’s Social Venture Studio is a six-month accelerator program designed to support social entrepreneurs in Kansas City. The program offers a combination of financial grants, business mentorship, and strategic consulting to help participants grow their businesses and increase their community impact. Each year, the studio selects a cohort of promising social ventures to participate in this comprehensive program.

The Social Venture Studio focuses on entrepreneurs who aim to address social, environmental, or racial issues through sustainable business models. Participants receive grants ranging from $15,000 to $25,000, along with access to co-working space at the Keystone CoLAB and a curriculum centered on social impact. The program also provides technical assistance, including legal, financial, and marketing mentorship, to strengthen the participants' business concepts.

Since its inception, the Social Venture Studio has been recognized for its contributions to promoting economic equity and inclusion. In 2022, it received the Excellence in Economic Development Award from the International Economic Development Council for its work in fostering inclusive innovation and community impact. This recognition underscores the studio's commitment to supporting entrepreneurs who are not only building successful businesses but also addressing pressing societal challenges in the Kansas City region.
