Leisurecorp

Established in 2006 as a subsidiary of Dubai World, Leisurecorp specializes in investing in sports and leisure facilities, with a particular emphasis on golf-related projects. Its portfolio includes notable assets such as Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai and Pearl Valley Golf Estates in South Africa. The company has also held significant stakes in Island Global Yachting, Troon Golf, GPS Industries, and Snowmass, Colorado.

In November 2007, Leisurecorp entered into a major partnership with the PGA European Tour, leading to the creation of the Dubai World Championship, the world's richest golf tournament at that time, with a US$10 million prize fund. This partnership also resulted in the relocation of the European Tour's International Headquarters to Jumeirah Golf Estates in 2009.

Over the years, Leisurecorp has strategically divested from certain assets, including the sale of the Turnberry Resort in Scotland to Donald Trump in April 2014. Despite these changes, the company continues to focus on its core golf business, aiming to deliver high-quality facilities and events for golf enthusiasts worldwide.
