Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator

The Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) is a nonprofit organization established by the City of Los Angeles and its Department of Water & Power (LADWP) to foster an inclusive green economy. LACI collaborates with startups to accelerate the commercialization of clean technologies, partners with policymakers and market leaders in transportation, energy, and sustainable cities, and enhances communities through workforce development and pilot programs. Over the past decade, LACI has supported 340 portfolio companies, helping them raise nearly $700 million in funding, generate $323 million in revenue, create 2,500 jobs, and deliver more than $573 million in long-term economic value.

LACI's La Kretz Innovation Campus, located in downtown Los Angeles, serves as a hub for cleantech innovation and commercialization. The 61,000 square-foot facility houses various cleantech companies and municipal bodies, providing resources such as prototyping workshops, labs, and event spaces. This adaptive reuse of a warehouse exemplifies LACI's commitment to sustainable development and urban revitalization.
