NewBuild Venture Capital is a thematic venture firm founded in 2022 by experienced investors with backgrounds at NEA, Intel Capital, and NGP Capital. The firm focuses on early-stage companies developing modern enterprise supply chain software aimed at enhancing the productivity, resiliency, and sustainability of enterprise operations and supply chains in the United States and Canada. Their investment areas include edge cloud, generative AI, machine learning, data, mobile and connected devices, procurement, manufacturing, IoT, warehouse automation, supply chain mapping, sustainability, payments, and workforce productivity.

The founding partners, Rohini Chakravarthy and Chad Bailey, have a history of working together since 2018. They have closed over 80% of Fund I and have made nine investments. The firm typically invests between $1 million and $8 million in Seed and Series A rounds. They lead or co-lead in 60% and 40% of their investments, respectively. NewBuild takes board seats or board observer roles in their portfolio companies to provide guidance on company culture, business development, and product growth.

In December 2023, NewBuild welcomed Dr. Madhav Durbha as a Venture Partner. Dr. Durbha brings over 25 years of experience in supply chain strategy, process consulting, and go-to-market strategy. His expertise extends to cloud, AI, data, and connected devices, which are transforming enterprise software. He will source and advise the NewBuild team on software investments across procurement, manufacturing, sustainability, logistics, and supply chain resilience. This addition demonstrates NewBuild's continued thematic focus on supply chain software and their commitment to supporting diverse founding teams in achieving operational excellence.
