Oman India Joint Investment Fund

Established in 2011, the Oman India Joint Investment Fund is a private equity fund focusing on growth capital investments in India and Oman. The fund is a joint venture between the Oman Investment Authority (OIA) and the State Bank of India (SBI), aiming to strengthen economic ties between the two nations. It has successfully invested in various sectors, including banking and financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, chemical and industrial technologies, automobiles, information technology, commodities, defense, aerospace, mining, and the retail sector.

The fund's investment strategy targets medium-sized companies in India, seeking to enhance their growth and operational efficiency. It focuses on sectors with high growth potential and sustainable competitive advantages. The fund's approach includes active management, strategic guidance, and leveraging the expertise of its sponsors to drive value creation.

Under the leadership of CEO Satish Chavva, appointed in April 2025, the fund continues to pursue its mission of fostering economic collaboration between Oman and India. Chavva brings over 20 years of experience in private equity investing and finance, having previously served as Director of Investments at OIJIF from 2016 to 2022. His leadership is expected to guide the fund through its next phase of growth and value creation.
