Participatiefonds Duurzame Economie Noord-Holland (PDENH) is a Dutch regional development company established to stimulate the sustainable economy in North Holland. The fund focuses on investments that contribute to the energy transition, circular economy, and sustainable mobility within the region. PDENH has invested over €70 million in innovative and sustainable projects, supporting companies in their start-up or scale-up phases. The fund aims to bridge the capital market gap for such companies and projects, fostering economic growth and environmental sustainability in North Holland.

PDENH provides equity and debt financing ranging from €250,000 to €3 million, targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with up to 250 employees or a maximum turnover of €50 million. The fund collaborates with other investors, co-financing up to 50% of the financing needs for each project or company. Eligible sectors include energy transition, circular economy, and sustainable mobility, with a preference for unique propositions in sustainable energy generation, delivery, and technology.

In 2024, PDENH's investments contributed to the employment of 728 full-time equivalents and resulted in a reduction of approximately 2,116,172 tonnes of CO2 emissions, equivalent to the annual emissions of over 114,000 households. The fund's portfolio includes companies such as Asperitas, MX3D, Sympower, and Triple Solar, which are actively involved in advancing sustainable technologies and solutions. PDENH's strategic focus and investments continue to play a significant role in promoting a sustainable and circular economy in North Holland.
