Pipeline Angels

Pipeline Angels is a network of women and non-binary investors committed to transforming the landscape of angel investing by providing capital and support to underrepresented groups in the startup ecosystem. Their mission is to generate capital, investments, and entrepreneurial opportunities for women and non-binary founders, aiming to address the gender disparities in venture capital funding. The organization offers comprehensive training programs to equip new investors with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed investment decisions.

The organization's flagship program, Angels-in-the-Making®, is a structured training initiative that includes education, mentoring, and hands-on support. Participants engage in workshops covering topics such as bias in investing, due diligence, valuation, and impact investing, led by industry experts. Each participant commits a minimum of $5,000 to invest in a startup chosen through a pitch summit and investment decision process, providing practical experience in angel investing. This program fosters a community of investors who are passionate about supporting diverse founders and creating social impact.

Since its inception in 2011, Pipeline Angels has trained nearly 600 participants, who have collectively invested nearly $8 million in over 120 companies. The organization has expanded its reach across multiple cities, empowering women and non-binary individuals to become investors and support startups led by diverse founders. In July 2023, Pipeline Angels was acquired by the Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL), uniting two organizations committed to increasing capital access and fostering a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem. This acquisition aims to enhance the support provided to investors and entrepreneurs from historically excluded communities, furthering the mission of creating a more equitable investment landscape.
