Plaisance Capital is a private equity firm based in Denver, Colorado, specializing in investments within the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Founded in November 2008 by Daniel R. Kozlowski, CFA, Plaisance Capital began managing a short-biased long/short strategy in February 2009. Prior to establishing Plaisance Capital, Mr. Kozlowski co-founded and co-managed the Janus Long/Short Fund, which grew from $5 million in assets under management in August 2006 to $1.3 billion by March 2008. After a tenure at Janus Capital, he re-established Plaisance Capital in September 2017.
