PlayCap is an angel investment network founded in 2024 and based in Stockholm, Sweden. The organization is dedicated to supporting early-stage game studios and game technology companies by providing both financial investment and industry expertise. PlayCap is distinguished as the first women-only angel network in the gaming industry, aiming to enhance the representation of women within the investment sector.

PlayCap specializes in early-stage investments, focusing on pre-seed and seed-stage game studios and game tech companies. Investment amounts typically range from $20,000 to $125,000 per deal, with a maximum pre-money valuation of $6 million. The network leverages the collective expertise of its members, who are seasoned professionals from various facets of the gaming industry, to provide comprehensive support to portfolio companies.

By pooling their expertise in game development, company building, leadership, marketing/branding, HR, law, and more, PlayCap aims to support studios and companies more effectively. This collaborative approach allows individual investors to participate in smaller investments while maintaining a single entity on the company's cap table, thereby simplifying the investment process.
