Purdue Innovates is a comprehensive initiative at the Purdue Research Foundation designed to support Purdue University’s faculty, staff, students, and alumni in transforming innovative ideas into impactful ventures. The program offers a unified approach to technology commercialization, startup incubation, and venture investment, facilitating the protection and licensing of intellectual property and the creation and scaling of startups. By providing resources such as funding, mentorship, and access to a vast network of industry partners, Purdue Innovates aims to accelerate the commercialization of Purdue-developed technologies and foster entrepreneurial success within the Purdue community.

The initiative encompasses several key components, including the Office of Technology Commercialization, which manages Purdue's intellectual property portfolio and licenses technologies to industry partners. Additionally, the Purdue Innovates Incubator offers support to early-stage startups through programs like the Purdue Innovates Accelerator, a three-month, investment-based program that provides strategic support, mentorship, and potential funding up to $100,000. This accelerator is tailored for Purdue-connected founders seeking to scale their startups and achieve significant market impact.

Purdue Innovates also collaborates with various partners to enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem, such as the Silicon Valley Boilermaker Innovation Group (SVBig) and High Alpha with DIAL. These partnerships aim to advance, mentor, and fund high-value startups, leveraging the collective expertise and resources of the Purdue network.
