Investor Details Founded: 2005

Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) is the sovereign wealth fund of the State of Qatar, established in 2005 to manage the country's oil and natural gas surpluses. Its primary objective is to diversify Qatar's economy by investing in a wide range of asset classes, sectors, and geographies, both domestically and internationally. QIA's investments span various markets, including the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, as well as within Qatar outside the energy sector. The fund's portfolio includes holdings in companies such as Harrods Group, Qatar Airways, and Ooredoo. QIA is also involved in significant infrastructure projects and has made substantial investments in real estate and financial services. The fund is managed by a team of over 600 employees from more than 66 nationalities, reflecting its global investment approach. QIA's leadership includes CEO Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi, who was appointed in November 2024, and Chairman Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani.
