Founded in 2002 and headquartered in New York City, Ramirez Asset Management (RAM) is a registered investment adviser affiliated with Samuel A. Ramirez & Co., Inc., one of the oldest and largest Hispanic-owned investment banks in the U.S. RAM focuses on fixed income and equity asset management for a diverse institutional client base, including public and private defined benefit and defined contribution plans, Taft-Hartley plans, corporations, state and local governments, as well as foundations and endowments. In October 2024, RAM expanded into private credit by acquiring the private credit opportunities strategy team from Avenue Capital Group, adding approximately $500 million in assets under management. The firm launched the Ramirez Government Money Market Fund in December 2023, donating 10% of the fund’s net management revenues to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund to support Latino/a students in higher education. As of March 2024, RAM's assets under management surpassed $10 billion, marking a significant growth attributed to new client mandates, product diversification, and additional funding.
