Ramot at Tel Aviv University is the technology transfer company of Tel Aviv University, responsible for commercializing the university's innovations and fostering startups. It serves as a bridge between academic research and industry, facilitating the translation of scientific discoveries into marketable products and services. Ramot's mission is to build and foster a portfolio of sustainable assets through licensing its technologies and intellectual property to new companies established on TAU techs/IP and existing companies, generating revenue for TAU and its researchers while adding value to society.

Ramot's activities include securing intellectual property protection for TAU inventions, bridging the gap between early technologies and the market, and actively managing and promoting its portfolio assets and companies. It aims to be the innovation hub of choice for its existing and new partners. The company has established collaborations with international companies such as Pfizer, Teva, Bayer, Samsung, Google, Microsoft, Merck, Novartis, and GSK, among others.

Through its efforts, Ramot has filed over 5,000 patent applications claiming more than 1,300 inventions, leading to the establishment of over 100 startup companies and more than 200 licenses and option agreements with commercial partners. Notable products resulting from these collaborations include the USB flash drive, developed in partnership with M-Systems, and medical therapies for conditions such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, cancer, and diabetes. Ramot continues to play a pivotal role in translating academic research into practical applications that benefit society.
