SATUS Venture

SATUS Venture is a group of entities managing seed and venture capital funds, founded in 2005 by two Kraków financiers, Krzysztof Bełecha and Mariusz Borowiec. The firm focuses on investing in innovative companies at the early stages of development, particularly in the biotechnology, engineering, and ICT sectors. SATUS Venture collaborates closely with scientific and research centers, business angels, and private investors to oversee the entire investment process, from incubation through commercialization to exit.

The firm's investment strategy emphasizes high-risk, high-return opportunities, aiming to support companies with significant growth potential. SATUS Venture has established partnerships with leading scientific research centers in Poland, resulting in the creation of three accelerators: JCI Venture, which supports life science projects; the Innovation Accelerator of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Akcelerator Innowacji NOT); and the KPT Seed Fund, which assists companies in advanced technologies and facilitates the transfer of knowledge from universities to industry. These collaborations enable SATUS Venture to provide comprehensive support to startups, including financial backing, training, strategic guidance, and access to a network of business contacts.

SATUS Venture has invested over PLN 20 million in various companies, such as Han Bright, Evatronix, Bloober Team, OK System Polska, Aviator Technologie Lotnicze, Binary Helix, Encja.com, and Controlling Online. The firm's approach combines the benefits of closed-end investment funds, traditional business angel networks, and academic and research institutions, ensuring a holistic support system for its portfolio companies. This integrated strategy aims to maximize the value and success of the startups it invests in, contributing to the growth and innovation landscape in Poland.
