SEK Lab EdTech Accelerator

SEK Lab EdTech Accelerator is Spain's first accelerator dedicated to educational technology startups, established in 2015. It is part of the SEK Educational Group, a prestigious institution founded in 1892, which includes 12 international schools and Camilo José Cela University. The accelerator aims to identify and nurture innovative edtech solutions globally, reinforcing SEK's commitment to educational innovation.

The program selects promising startups annually, offering a six-month acceleration period that includes coworking space, mentoring, master classes, and opportunities for beta testing within SEK's educational institutions. This comprehensive support system enables startups to validate their products in real-world educational settings, ranging from K-12 to higher education.

Since its inception, SEK Lab has accelerated over 80 startups, with more than 70% remaining active and over 20 forming ongoing partnerships with SEK Educational Group. The accelerator's focus on social impact is evident, with a commitment to including at least one or two social impact startups in each cohort. This approach underscores SEK Lab's dedication to fostering innovation that positively influences education and society.
