SOLVE FSHD

SOLVE FSHD is a venture philanthropic organization established to catalyze innovation and accelerate key research in finding a cure for FSHD. Founded by Canadian entrepreneur and philanthropist Chip Wilson, the organization has committed $100 million to support projects aimed at curing FSHD by 2027. Their mission is to find solutions that can slow down or stop muscle degeneration, increase muscle regeneration and strength, and improve the quality of life for those living with FSHD.

SOLVE FSHD has been actively involved in several initiatives, including investing in Epic Bio to advance a potentially curative therapy for FSHD, and collaborating with Modalis Therapeutics Corporation to develop an innovative CRISPR-based epigenome editing treatment for the disease. These efforts reflect their commitment to accelerating breakthroughs in FSHD research and therapies, aiming to find a cure by December 31, 2027.
