Speed Accelerator is a Beirut-based tech accelerator that empowers software startups to succeed and scale globally through a 3-month mentorship-driven program, $30,000 in funding, and a lifelong network of mentors and partners. The accelerator offers software startups $30,000 in financial support, an intensive 3-month mentorship-driven program that includes in-house mentorship, mentorship from experts, workshops, access to a network of investors, and a free working space at Berytech Digital Park in exchange for 5% equity in common shares. Startups also receive lifelong support from a network of 100+ local and international mentors, the opportunity to be sponsored by Speed for a 2-week immersion program in Silicon Valley in partnership with LebNet, technology perks worth $1M+ through the accelerator’s partnership with the Global Accelerator Network, and a fast-track referral to the 47 Techstars programs around the world. The accelerator is a collaborative effort between Lebanon’s leading investment funds and entrepreneurship support organizations, including Berytech Fund II, Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), IM Capital, Lebanon for Entrepreneurs (LFE), and Bader. Since its establishment in 2015, Speed Accelerator has supported over 35 startups, with more than $5 million in capital raised by its portfolio companies. The accelerator focuses on early-stage startups in the technology sector, particularly those in the software, digital, and web/mobile industries. It accepts startups at the idea and early stages, aiming to produce Lebanon's next high-growth businesses. The program includes product development, mentoring, business development, accounting, and legal services. Hosted in the Beirut Digital District (BDD), Speed Accelerator admits two batches per year, and the top teams in each batch benefit from follow-on acceleration in Silicon Valley. The accelerator has a track record of supporting startups that have gone on to achieve significant success, including securing additional funding and scaling their operations. Its collaborative approach and comprehensive support system have made it a key player in Lebanon's startup ecosystem.
