Sriram Krishnan

Sriram Krishnan is a distinguished investor and technologist, renowned for his expertise in venture capital with a particular emphasis on emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency. He currently serves as the Senior White House Policy Advisor on Artificial Intelligence, a role he assumed in January 2025, where he plays a pivotal part in shaping the United States' approach to AI policy and its global leadership in the field. Prior to this, Krishnan was a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), a leading venture capital firm, from 2021 to 2024, focusing on investments in consumer internet, enterprise, and fintech sectors. During his tenure, he was instrumental in expanding the firm's international presence, including the establishment of its first office in London in 2023.

Before his venture capital career, Krishnan held significant product management positions at several major technology companies. At Twitter, he led core consumer teams, overseeing products such as the home timeline, new user experience, search, discovery, and audience growth. His tenure at Snap Inc. involved creating and managing mobile ad products, including Snap's Direct Response ads business. At Facebook, he developed the Facebook Audience Network, a major competitor to Google's ad technologies. His career began at Microsoft, where he served as a program manager for Visual Studio.
