Startup Island TAIWAN

Established in 2015, Startup Island TAIWAN is a government-backed initiative designed to support and promote startups in Taiwan. Its mission is to cultivate global-minded entrepreneurs and showcase Taiwan's innovative strengths on the international stage. The organization offers a range of services, including coaching programs, bootcamps, workshops, and seminars, to empower entrepreneurs and build a robust startup ecosystem throughout Asia.

To facilitate international expansion, Startup Island TAIWAN has established hubs in key global markets. The Silicon Valley Hub, launched in 2025, serves as a strategic bridge connecting Taiwan's innovation strengths with global markets. It provides consultations with industry experts, investors, and mentors, along with tailored resource matchmaking, event space, and community access to support Taiwanese startups in the U.S. and beyond. Similarly, the Tokyo Hub, established in 2024, offers flexible workstations, meeting rooms, event spaces, and personalized advisory services to assist Taiwanese startups in Japan. These hubs also welcome international startups with ties to Taiwan, fostering two-way collaborations and mutual exchange between ecosystems.

Through these initiatives, Startup Island TAIWAN has served over 230 startups, connected with more than 120 mentors, engaged with over 500 investors, and collaborated with more than 30 corporations. The organization continues to strengthen Taiwan's position as a leading destination for innovation and entrepreneurship, aiming to become a digital nation and smart island by developing sectors such as smart machinery, green energy, biotechnology, and national defense. By connecting Taiwan to the world, Startup Island TAIWAN plays a pivotal role in promoting the island's innovative capabilities on the global stage.
