In December 2024, Taranis strengthened its Energy for Africa fund by acquiring the Africa business of Akuo, an international developer and producer of renewable energy. This strategic acquisition integrated Akuo's local portfolio of projects and expertise in developing renewable energy in Africa. In February 2025, Taranis acquired a 35% minority stake in Rougier Afrique International, a leader in responsible African wood, aiming to combine Taranis' expertise in sustainable energy and carbon management with Rougier's knowledge in responsible forest management.
