The Chernin Group (TCG) is a privately held media holding company based in Los Angeles, California, founded in 2010 by Peter Chernin and Jesse Jacobs. TCG focuses on private equity investments in the media, entertainment, technology, sports, and consumer digital media sectors. Its portfolio includes Chernin Entertainment, a film and television production company; a majority stake in CA Media, which operates media businesses across Asia; and strategic investments in companies like Pandora, Fullscreen, Tumblr, and Flipboard.
