Established in 1994, Utilities Trust of Australia (UTA) is one of Australia's first infrastructure investment funds, focusing on long-term investments in essential infrastructure assets. Managed by Morrison, a global infrastructure manager, UTA's portfolio includes assets in Australia and the United Kingdom, encompassing sectors such as energy, water, transportation, and data infrastructure. As of 30 June 2025, UTA had approximately A$8.9 billion in assets under management.

UTA's investment strategy emphasizes acquiring and managing high-quality infrastructure assets that provide essential services, aiming to deliver stable returns with low volatility. The fund's diversified portfolio includes significant holdings in assets like the Sydney Desalination Plant, Transgrid, and Perth Airport. In December 2025, UTA acquired a 60% stake in the Sydney Desalination Plant, taking full ownership of the asset.
